Curtis has over thirty years of experience in emergency services. Through his extensive time with Strathcona County Emergency Services he has served in many positions including Paramedic, Firefighter, Training Officer and Officer, and currently holds the position of Assistant Platoon Chief. These positions have allowed him to developed strong administrative and organizational skills as well as become an effective communicator with both internal and external stakeholders. His transformational leadership style focuses on input and involvement from others, this quality has enabled him to evolve into a highly respected leader.
